In our first episode of Cult of Perfect, we discussed where we’re both trying to divest from various forms of perfect. We talked about wanting to adhere to maternal ideals (Virginia as a perfect medical mom and Sara as a perfect “natural” mom). But perfect also shows up in our homes, in our personal interactions, and DEFINITELY in the relationships we have with ourselves!
So what about you? Where do you find yourself bumping up against your pursuit of perfect? Is it fucking with your sense of self or is it something you just think you SHOULD be doing (because of external pressures)?
Since we’re talking about sensitive, personal stuff here, let’s not be shitty or judgmental! The whole point of this podcast (and this community) is to get away from that type of toxic garbage. And if we’re talking about bodies, please don’t use numbers (weight or calories) because this is a diet culture- free zone. 💃 💃
